Hey guys, I have an '03 with the stock infinity speakers. I bought it a couple months ago and have been using a device which transmits my iPhone's music as a radio, I tune the stock electronics into the blank station and it plays perfectly fine. However, sometimes I get interference and other times I don't. I also get a bit of static during a lull in the song. Is this just the fact that I use the radio? Or is it the older-tech speakers in the truck even though they are quite good?

I basically just want to know how great the quality is in the truck when played through a regular audio jack instead of a radio. I'll be getting a Samsung Galaxy Note II by the end of this month and will have to change to an interface that uses a regular audio jack. Will the speakers have better quality or will I have to buy newer speakers that would be better?

Thanks,
- OD Ram

I wan entertaining buying something like you have for my iPhone, since we don't have an AUX in jack on our stereos. I was told, they were a waste of money and not to waste my money on them. My infinity speakers sound flawless. I bet it's your transmitter and NOT at all the speakers.

i'm guessing that what you are experiencing is because of the transmitter you are using.

Infinity is produced by Alpine for the OEM market. An infinity system, although it won't have the kick a competition system has as far as the low bass, is amoung the top for clarity and sound reproduction. GM uses Bose, Dodge/Ram/etc uses Alpine, I cannot recall what Ford uses but I think its Kenwood.

Infinity is actually a JBL/Harman Kardan company. the New rams have "alpine" speakers.
