Well a little over a year ago this happened...

But I'm back! That 72 only got me about 6-8 mpg and that just wasn't cutting it. I paid 1600 for it, and sold it for 2700 plus a springfield 9mm pistol.

Last night I got an AMAZING deal on a 98 ram 1500 slt quad cab.
Cold AC, power everything, dash is good, radio is good, 144k miles. I paid 1400 dollars!! I played a sad song for the guy, I have become quite the negotiator the past couple years. Pics to come!!

Thank you sir! Glad to be back on this forum, lots of good people here. I plan to keep it mostly stock, just maximize the mpg as much as possible. It has the 318, so at least its not the 360.

MPG? Kiss MPG goodbye! lol You'll be lucky to get 14 even with 2WD. And there is nothing wrong with having a 360, in some cases they can actually get better MPG then the 318.

14 would be twice as much as before, so I'll take it if I can get it!

Anything EFI will be better than a carb. I get around 13.5 on a good day, but that's with 33 in tires and 3.55 gears.


Hell, in town my 76 doesn't get than much worse than my Ram does. :uhoh2:

I could regularly get 18 MPG out of my '99 Ex Cab 5.2 5sp Club Cab 2wd.
Just gotta go easy on the stupid pedal!
