Just ordered some 1.5" drop shackles for the rear of the truck. Just one question, how do they install exactly? I know they bolt right up, but I just want to see if anyone else has done this yet and have any pointers.

They are typically a direct replacement for your originals. Just unbolt old and bolt in new. Obviously support your rig, axle and brakes and wheel blocks, etc

Drop shackles replace the stock shackles you have.
Hemibabe recenty posted s1s shackles install doc on a recent thread. Should be able to find it quickly.

No. the shackles are located at the end of the leaf spring

Yes that is your rear spring shackles....just remove that and put in your new ones. Be prepared for the old bolts to be a pain in the ass to remove.
