Mileage with 35's?

I dont want to have to pay 4 digits to get higher differentials I have a 98.5 ram 2500 with the nv4500hd manual 5 speed with the I think dana 80 axle I think I am on 4.10 differentials right now and I have the 24 vavle 5.9l cummins not the common rail and im getting 19 mpg highway and 14 city what can I expect to lose in mileage if i put 35/12.5 tires on?

I lost about 3mpgs...I was averaging 16, now I average 13..but this is a 1500

so you had the lower differentials to begin with and a gas engine so I will be looking at 1 maybe 2 mpg loss?

I had the same CTD but auto ... 6" lift 35" tires .. 2001 24v ... City 19 Highway 23-24
Had 4:10's and allot of engine work .

Sounds like I would barely lose any mileage at all lol maybe I will just skip the new difs and just get the lift tires an rims lol

true Im looke at either edge juice with attitude touch sceen or quadzilla adrenaline. I also want to put on a stage 2 cold air intake would those help any?

He has a cummins ,, no need for a e-fan

Mods .. yes .. quadzilla , I ran it and LOVED IT . Few more mpg's. The Edge is bad ass also for that year cummins.
And YES definitely get a cold air intake ... they do wonders for a CTD .

Need any pricing on diesel parts/mods .. PM me .. my prices wont be beat.

My girlfriend was averaging 22-24 mpg on 295/70/17 m/ts with3:73s
She went to 18 even with a level and 35" at's
18.7 by adding a CAI

4:10s are a great gear for 35's especially on a cummins, no need to regear
Most of you mpg lose will be from the extra height/wind resistance
