Quick question, do '97 1500 Rams come with stock steering stabilizers?? The reason I ask is because the lift I am installing says it won't work if my truck is equipped with a stock steering stabilizer..

Laugh if you want but I know nothing about them lol. :hidesbehindsofa:

Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge yes it had one. Link to said lift kit or make of kit? You already have 5" lift how much more are you going?

The 5" lift is still in progress, and it said if I have a stock steering stabilizer I would need a new one to fit with the lift.. I didnt know if that meant some didnt come with a steering stabilizer at all or if it had a stock one

Steering Stabilizers on (not sure year change) but like 98/97 ish and older had the stabilizer hi mounted to the pitman arm tre* and the upper frame. So it may not work due to the angle changeon that tre when the lift is installed.
You'd have to change to a low mount universal system that would mount to your differential tube and lh outer tre.
