Any follow up info? I have read a lot of reviews on amazon about these things failing due to moisture after a couple of months.

So update now, I have this installed for 2 months now, and it has rained and snowed quite a bit here, and this thing still works great. I did order the submersible one so that obviously helps.

I'd really like to get one, but the last one I had on my old truck only lasted 6 months before parts of it wouldn't like anymore. I'm still looking for one with a good reputation for longevity.
