What is the difference between the 2 shift knobs on the dodge ram with manual transmission, my speed has in that order L 2 O
1 3 R
while others have the normal order 1 3 5
2 4 R
I thought it was a matter of ratios

Low-1st-2nd-3rd-Overdrive-Reverse
vs
1st-2nd-3rd-4th-5th-Reverse

Different gear ratios. The first pattern has a granny gear with no fourth and an overdrive. Sounds like a work truck trans. The second is just a standard 5 speed.

It's not a matter of one being better than the other, they just serve different purposes.

The first one would be better for a work truck or towing a trailer. The second one would better for towing and performance.

for oil you might try Mobil 1, Chevron, or Shell Rotella those are some of the major brands they are all pretty good oils in my opinion

yes thats a good brand give it a try if you dont like it then you can always change to something different later
