This cup holder they put in the 2nd gens is ridiculously stupid and cheap plastic. Anyone know how to fix it? Three of the tabs on it are broken and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

In 98 the interior changed greatly!! Complete dash remold. New gauges, cupholders, dash shapes, part locations, and other random things. When going interior it matters what year in the 2nd gens. I could write a whole book on 2nd gen diffs in years. You think being older is bad though. Try being a 99 sport. They have less aftermarket than you guys.

I don't really want to pay for a new one, so I'm gonna try to fix the one I got now

Mines broke as well - instead of fixing it I glued it shut and going to mount a CB radio under it.. I bought a console with 2 cup holders and drilled it to the foot-board where the middle seat is. It is actually pretty nice and handy and holds more stuff

Colton, how is yours olding up?

Yeah finding aftermarket stuff for the 99-01 sports sucks but it gives me a chance to make it myself or adapt it to work

where does that one posted from geno's mount?

mine is broken in the same place. I was thinking of a type of cable support, similar to the tailgate but smaller scale.

Here's a couple more pics. I love mine. I've bounced the hell outta mine and still haven't had a spill yet

It just sits into the center console and uses a piece of Velcro to hold it in place. It also comes with a self-tapping screw to use but I never used or needed it
