Rear seats stuck!

So i just got my dodge yesterday, and i was looking it over here at the house and i lifted the rear seat up (extended cab). When i went to let it back down, it wouldnt move. I tried both handles and neither one would release it. I hear a clicking noise like it IS releasin it, but the seat wont budge. Has anyone else had this problem? Please help!

I didn't know that the 96 had a flip up rear seat. You could try someone at both handles at the same time. Mine gets stuck down sometimes and I do that to get it to flip up. Sounds like the clip is getting stuck or broken.

on mine you have to hold both handle to get it up or down

Another thing you can do is pull the lever and push the seat back and then let it down-- doing that should kind of unhook it, I had to do that with my girl when I was putting on seat covers.
