Question. Does anyone know the size/thread of the bolts that bolt into the block? I currently have edelbrock headers on my 1998 Ram 1500 5.9 and I have to change out the gasket due to a leak and am going to change the bolts out also.
Any help would be appreciated.

I used these on my Ram, along with Mr Gasket premium header gaskets (the metal reinforced ones) and so far never had to retorque anything or replace gaskets.

How do you get the header bolts tight with shorties? My drivers side is a real pain. Sockets are too thick so are boxed end wrenches .... Open end once turned can't get it back on the nut either way .... Gotta be some special tool of some kind and willing to pay the tool truck price if I knew what to get

I know this is of no help, but this is the reason why I'm such a big fan of the SRT header bolts, they use a smaller 10mm head that just clears the primaries with ratchet wrench.
