parked my truck friday. hosed it off one day during the weekend, including up under the front, but not alot in the engine area. mostly the axle and wheel wells.

started it monday afternoon to go the the store. it was missing kinda bad. almost acting like it was flooded as to when I would give it alot of gas it would miss even more and "flood" I drove around easy a little bit and it cleared up.

tuesday I get in it to go work on my boat some, same thing. plus the inside of the windshield is wet with moisture (different issue). it clears up alot quicker than monday. and i mean like a few blocks.

did it a bit more this morning headed to work.

I think it may be moisture in the distributor cap. it has been really high humidity in the mornings around here
whadda think?

Convert, for now.

small
cap or crack in plug wire. Moisture in the air can set it off, make it miss.

I like the idea of checking the cap for moisture and carbon tracks. Also check the rotor for a burn through the top to the shaft. I've seen this twice now where burn a tiny hole through the rotor and cause a miss.

As for the little plug shields just yank theme out and clean around them but when you put them back in turn the notch down so the water and trash can escape. While I was there I grabbed my tube of di-electric grease and put a pea size ball in each spark plug boot. Place back on the plug.

But there is 2 cents to the pile...
