So I've come to the conclusion that my factory ECU will need to be flashed in order to remove the "death flash" and the SCT Tuner seems the best overall way to go. While browsing through Summit Racing i came across an entirely different ECU by Mopar Performance...

Has anyone used one of these? This is almost half the price of a tuner but I'm curious if the tuner is still the better way to go. Pros? Cons? All input is appreciated! :favorites13:

That pcm is for 94-95 only, so it won't work in your truck.

You're right, I forgot to check the application guide, LOL.

That being said, what's the difference between the mid 90's and the late 90's Magnum engines that would necessitate a different ECU?

Yep. If you've got 97+, there is no reason to spend the coin on a new pcm
