Hi,
I just picked up a 2001 ram 1500 with a 360 gas motor.
It starts and runs fine sometimes for a half hour sometimes for only a few mins. Then it stalls and will not start.
If you let it sit for 10 mins it starts right up again and runs fine for a while.
While it wouldn't start I sprayed starting fluid in and it fired up until it used what I sprayed.
I also listened for the fuel pump by cycling the key a few times and I hear it humming.
I checked the codes and got p0171 bank 1 lean.
I am thinking fuel press regulator? Am I way off? Any other thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jon.
