4wd light stuck ok even when in 2wd

hey guys, i recently swapped in another t-case to replace my beat up one and the swap went well the truck drives good 2wd and 4wd both work the only issue i have with it after the swap is ever since i put it in 4wd for the frist time the light 4wd light came on, and even when u take it out of 4wd the light is still on?
what could cause this?
note*
the transfer case came out of the same dodge same year make model sport package engine and tranny.

im pretty sure the light is activated by the sensor on the axle, near the vacuum actuator.

^^^This is true. There are also 2 vacuum lines that need to be put int he right order. If not 2wd will engage the light and 4wd will disengage. But since you put it in and it turned on it's probably right. Other thing is that the vacuum lines from the T-Case to the Actuator are steel and will rust out losing Vacuum. This can stick the actuator.

maby thats it? bc i just put up a new post asking what the one part did, it was a golden little piece comming off of the top of the tcase that i coundlt get the hose to hit one and it looked like a vaccume line, so im thinking thats probally it
