I have a welder friend who's 98 12V welding rig is giving lots of problems.
First, the ring & pinion broke. I built him a new rear end.
Second, the brakes went bad, so I did him a brake job. The front brakes had been attempted by an idiot who could not figure out the 4x4 front brake removal.
Third, he sprung a big engine oil leak up front. I ended up changing his timming cover.
Now he's got electrical problems.
Problems are as following,
Seat belts wont work, Radio doesnt work, Fuel gauge wont work, Mirrors wont work, Dome lights wont work.
I cant help but to think this truck may have something causing all of the electronic problem. I checked the basic fuse inspection and relays, but found nothing.
Any suggestions would be helpful, im just trying to help someone who has major problem with their money maker.

The only thing I can suggest is checking the wires for continuity with a multi-meter.

I would check the main grounds...Especially the interor one behind the e brake pedal.

The cheesy shaft/sheet metal nut tends to work loose then strip. This may even cause the "no buss" fault.

^^^I agree grounds are the common issue. I had 2 grounds come off my truck and my whole truck went wacko. It's still not 100% right but tollerable.
