You DONT want to use 4wd unless you have to (mud, snow, sand, ect)

Driving around in 4wd on dry pavement or non slick pavement will tear up your front suspension.

DO NOT do this. Good way to tear stuff up. Only time you should engage 4wd is when there is slipping.

I wouldn't do it. That's a good way to bind something up and break an axle joint of shaft

As long as you dont turn. Even driving straight on dry surface probably isnt good
When you turn in 4wd your tires turn on different radius which cause the binding. This is the same reason some have a little bit of wheel hop when the have lockers in the back

Yupp what they said. Unless you want to replace tires, all your front suspension and drive parts, kill mpgs, and have a crappy ride.

Some states don't salt. So they act as sort of a paddle to push in the snow. I wish my state wouldn't salt, they have been using the liquid stuff for the last few years and that stuff eats metal worse than the solid stuff.

Salting the road here in Oregon is illegal which I like.....no rust. We use a bio-degradable anti-freeze/something else mixture on the roads/ice
