Hey guys! I'm new to the site so I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not but I need some help one this one, I've got a 1999 dodge ram sport with a 5.9 360 magnum and it won't start! Turns over fine but won't start, I just replaced coil, spark plugs, and wires, the ignition control module is smoking everytime I turn it over! Does anyone know why?

Spray starter fluid in th throttle body and turn it over. If it starts then dies then it might be the fuel pump.

It's not the fuel pumb because I took off the fuel line and turned the key and fuel came out. So I'm not sure what's going on with it

there is pick up coil under the distributor rotor that goes bad and or crank sensor. check for spark and check for injector pulse. for injector pulse use a 194 bulb and pull the prongs out straight and put them into one of the injector plugs and crank and see if it lights up. it will light up very dull so you might need someone to crank for you and you watch for light

There's obviousl;y an electrical issue with your PCM if it is smoking. Is it the PM itself or the wires? If the wires are melted you'll need to replace them. Then you can start troubleshooting.
If the box itself is smoking then it is junk. Something internally is shorted out and still getting enough power to burn. You'll have to replace it.

So I found the crank sensor wires were broken and rubbing so it shorting out and making the PCM smoke so I put in a new PCM and new crank sensor and fixed the wires! But it still won't start!? Does anyone know why? Or what I should check/replace?
