We have a 2006 Dodge 3500 diesel with about 66000 miles on it and just got hit with trouble where we have been told the automatic transmission cooling block split and not only did I loose the fluid but but water got into the transmission. Is this a common fault? What do I need to be cautious of to ensure the tranny is going to be okay?

Man I'm not real sure, there will be more on here that can tell you more, but I do know that automatic transmissions especially in the diesels wear out quick. That's one thing Dodge didn't get right there. Welcome to the forum!

What's a diesel? j/k

Maybe a Mod will move this to a area that better handle the question...
