The day I picked my new truck up I did not make it 4 miles from the dealer when service engine soon light came on. I turned around and wen to the dealer and they put the truck on computer and they said bad O2 sensor.

They told me I was 5 minutes late there was a guy in before me and got the last sensor they had in stock.

They told me they had a bad run of O2 sensors.

It took 5 days for them to get a sensor for my new truck.

At 1500 miles I was out of town on business and the service engine soon light came on.

I found a dealer 3 miles from my hotel and spent 3.5 hours there they told me they flashed the ECM with new program and replaced an O2 sensor.

Yesterday at 2400 miles my service engine soon light came on,went to local dealer were I purchased the truck,Another bad O2 Sensor bad.

While there I had them pull up dealer when I was out of town, they told me that they attempted to reflash my original ECM,but end up replacing it with new and installing new program. My dealer also told me they replaced another O2 sensor and also replaced a wheel speed sensor.

I like the truck and the cummins, but so far I have spent 12 hrs at the dealers for sensor problems.

I jokingly told my dealer I was going to start billing them for my time as this is my company truck for my business.

I will see how long it takes or not to have more problems.

If I continue to have problems I am going to ask for new truck as this was 3rd time for same related problem.

I was thinking of doing deletes in the future but now I am scared I have serious problems deeper than emissions crap and do not want to void the warranty until after warranty runs out.

What do you think, you would do?

Regards
Don

O2 sensor would not be a problem if deleted....:waytogo:
Neither would poor fuel economy.

Sorry I dont have an answer for your string of bad sensors.

I recently had a O2 sensor report as "slow to respond" and they flashed the computer. Solved the problem, and, returned the shift points back to nearly what they were when new (a flash just before my truck went to a cummins repair facility changed the OEM programmed points and made this truck lug something terrible and hunt constantly for gears.) Now, it feels just about like it did.

Only thing I fukking hate about Dodge is their retarted obsession with daytime driving lights in all their flashes. I pity the fool who puts those in, Hell has a special place for him.

Well Guys,

I am nearing 5k, knock on wood no more O2 sensors having problems.

It seems my truck is waking up since 4k better throttle response and slightly better MPG.

Yahoo!!!
