I have a 2001 with a 6 speed. I had the dead pedle thing and took an injection pump off a 2000 with an auto tran. and put it on the truck it ran alright for a month. Now when i let off the throtle it throws me forward like no fuel it doesn't cut off though.

Check for codes (use the key and turn from off to run 3 times w/o starting ... they will show on the ODO even if the check engine light is not on). If the lift pump is going out you'll get a few different ones.

What did you replace it with? Stock or aftermarket?

First off there is only 2 reasons for dead pedal...

1. APPS Sensor
2. VP44 failure

APPS sensor will always throw a error code P0121, P0122 or P0123 with a dead pedal problem.

As for the VP44 it could be pure failure. This would be caused by lack of fuel pressure so I would check the fuel pressure of the lift pump. There is 2 numbers needed. Idle pressure and WOT pressure at highway speed.

So basically we need both error codes and fuel pressure numbers to tell you whats going on exactly.
