So I have decided to put a little color under the hood. Going to start by painting the egr crossover cover. Question for everyone, should i put primmer on or just adhesion promoter. The plastic is textured. The next part Will be to do the ccv cover and the valve cover.

Either or, adhesion promoter is a primer
If you can put color on it within 10-15 minutes of the adhesion promoter then you don't need primer but if you don't plan on doing the color coat then you'll need a primer

Well EGR crossover tube cover is complete, get some installed photos tomorrow. But for now here are some after completing the work.

Next up will be the air intake top. Then the CCV cover. The lettering on top will be the only issue I can think of.

thanks, still got a ways to go with the under hood improvements. Want to tackle the airbox next and would like to get some nicer radiator hoses.

I like the personal touch it gives the vehicle. Lets see a pic of your airbox. With the 4.7l you should have a nice big engine shroud to play with, post some pics when you are done. I have been using off the shelf touchup paint, may not be the best quality, but readily available.
