I've used iron X before but wanted to try this because it says it also removes "fall out" unlike iron X. A gallon of it also comes out to be a really good price compared to iron X.

Has anybody tried it?

Last night i caught their sale (autogeek.com)within an hour. It was 3.95 shipping and a free gift valued at $44 if you spent over $95. They dont tell you what the gift is though.

Nope, used in conjunction. Iron x dissolves iron, won't remove tar, sap, overspray, etc. Iron-x followed by clay bar.

You are correct that "Iron X" will not remove fallout and tar.

But griot's will.

When using an iron remover most require a light wipe with a soft sponger to help remove the iron. But IMO the Iron Remover & the combination Iron&Fallout removers are WELL worth your money.

True, but I would still clay-bar.

I find that i only need to clay bar SOME spots but not very much at all. The paint is just as smooth as a full clay bar detail.

Tried Griot's Iron/fallout remover today. Did a fill exterior detail with a finish of an acrilic sealent.

"Griot's Iron & Fallout remover" VS "Iron X" in my personal experience.

Iron x pros,
Faster acting against iron
Aggressive on iron
Easier to apply getting full coverage
Rinses faster

Ironx cons,
Needs help removing fallout.
Seems a bottle doesn't "go as far"
Cost more in gallon bottle
Drips off faster

Griot's pros,
Excellent at removing fallout.
Thin jell consistency clings to pannels longer.
Little goes a long way.
Cost less in gallon bottle.

Griot's cons,
Slower acting on iron
Dries REALLY FAST in direct sun or wind (re-allpication needed to keep wet)
Needs spread with a sponge because it doesn't "spray" it "squirts"
Slower to rinse off

Not sure witch one I liked better so ill stick with Griot's for now because it's cheaper and seems to go further.

Side note, DO NOT use griots in the sun. It dries in about 30-60 seconds. Shade only and a COOL vehicle.

I'm only learning about such products with this post but I'm for sure going to incorporate it into the annual clay treatment.

How about Nanoskin - link $50 gallon

I used griots iron and fallout remover on my wheels today. When I rotate my tires I usually give them a good cleaning. I decided to use it today on the wheel especially because the inside of the factory silver paint aluminum wheel really show brake dust. Iron and fallout remover was very easy to work with and the end result was a night and day difference. I'll post pics later.
