Still learning

Ive been noticing its getting hard to shift out of park, but not out of the other gears. So I've read, it's either the valve body or the selenoid(?). How can I diagnose the problem myself, and if it is the valve body, is it pricey to get installed?

Do you know what was done to the truck before you bought it? Any transmission work?

From the sound of it...sounds like a common problem. Its the detent ball in your valce body. Its goes bad, making it hard to shift it out of park.

No need to replave the valve body...just get one of these

I dunno man...I've never messed with a VB before. If you haven't either I would recomend letting the pros handle it...jmo

Would get a shop to do it seeing there is a drill bit in the picture. Valve bodies are very pickey.
