Put on 4 Nitto 420`s today in 305/40/22.I had one of my Pirelli`s that was worn and the other three would not be far behind. Not a big fan of the Pirelli. They are just ok performance wise and very pricey .First impression is good with maybe 20 or so miles of driving tonight.Time will tell.At 158.00 each shipped ,mounted and balanced and out the door it was a no brainer IMO.Pays to have a buddy who owns a tire store. :roflsquared:

Anyone else run these?

I wish my tires were that cheap!

I agree about the pirellis. They were shot at 35k on my wife's s60. And I was never impressed with their handling.

Nittos have a rep for wearing fast also but tend to have pretty good bite.

250 or so miles this weekend to the Mopar Nats.Ride, handling ,noise way better .We will have to see on the wear but even if they wear twice as fast it will be a big improvement.

I've been running a set of 420s in 305 50 20 for a couple years now, I love them! around 35k on them and still have a some life left. I do plan to replace with another set of 420s before winter. But, While pretty good in rain, I have to note they aren't the best in snow, as I'm sure you would expect..

Kristen, Backspacing is the distance from the back edge of the wheel to the mounting face. The bigger the distance the more the wheel tucks in.

Offset is a distance from the center line of the wheel to the mounting face.....either in the positive or negative direction. it is a positive offset when the mounting face is closer to the outside edge of the wheel and likewise a negative offset when the mounting face is closer to the inside of the wheel.

Backspacing is not the only factor in your problem....wheel width and tire width also go along with backspacing
