Front axle CV requires a bigger hammer and just start beating the **** out o' it. When you reinstall just add some anti-seize to the splines and you'll never have an issue again.

Geting ti started off the splines is tough. I used a screwdriver to wedge in there to get it broke loose.

Hey, kids, just latching on to an old thread again....

Trying to replace the passenger CV axle, and I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. The tire/rim are obviously off, as are the caliper and rotor. I got the 36mm nut off using Autozone's socket. Is there anything else? It doesn't look like there is enough room. Please advise, mine is also a 2011 1500 4X4 5.7.
