wanna get an electric impact. can't decide if i wanna get a corded that has more power but costs less, or get a battery powered. also, for the corded, it's 8 amps, what wattage of inverter would i need? an 800 watt we have at work says it will supply up to 6.6 amps.

To figure watts, you need to multiply the amps x volts, so your corded one requires a minimum of a 1000 watt inverter, as you will be needing 880 watts of power. Remember this is running amps, not startup, so you may even need a 1500 watt inverter to start the tool.
