Good mechanic in LA?

Gents -

Awesome forum here, have just seen this for the first time and have spent all afternoon on it!

Anyway, looking for a good mechanic here in the Los Angeles area. I have an '05 Ram 2500, 5.7L 4x4. Need some general maintenance done, nothing major, but am just not sure where to take it. I'm preparing to drive it across the country and want to make sure I have a good once-over done. I'm moving to McLean, VA and will need a good mechanic there as well, if you have any thoughts.

Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks guys!

I am down in San diego and haven't found one specific one yet. For me it depends on what I am looking to get done. There is a good shop down here that specializes in rear ends. Thus that is where I will get my gears put in at. Another place that I have heard does some good tuning, hence I will take it there for that. Otherwise I would say find your way out to he track in pomona one night and start asking around.
