Ok, here's a little diagnostic head scratcher for anyone interested. An '03 Dakota with a 3.9 V6 with 84k miles is in for a misfire. The source of the misfire has been identified as a worn out secondary ignition and vacuum leak from a plenum pan gasket. During the diagnostic process, a compression test was performed with the following results. cylinders 1,3,4,5 & 6 are showing between 120-140 lb. psi. Cylinder #2 is showing 180 lb. psi. Anyone want to venture a guess as to the cause of the unusually high reading on #2?
