Sales codes can be added at any time for optional equipment. The rep is wrong.

However, the ability to flash may be limited by the knowledge and capabilities of your dealer.

I went through the list of sales codes (24 pages) and I didn't see anything specific to engine monitoring or system monitoring. So I'm curious on what it falls under

I told the rep to look into what codes make it work, so then i can go to my dealer and say hey look, can you add/flash these codes on to my truck and pray it works!!!

To 1500ram12, well if you look at the two pages i linked, those have to deal with the cluster, so im assuming its like LAD LAR LAZ ext.

PCT...I have never seen the issue you are having happen. I have also never seen anyone have to add a sales code to have your EVIC show your oil pressure and temp as Cptwing stated it is shown on every trim level. You have already ruled out your speedometer by installing it in your friends truck. You also know that your truck knows it has oil pressure or it would throw a code or a warning. The next step and probably least expensive would be to replace the old pressure/temp sending unit and rule that out. Maybe there is more than one system it communicates with and yours is defective or possibly may be more than one sensor. Maybe it's communicating with your PCM but not with another system that possibility supplies the information to your EVIC. In any case that would be what I would try next. Good luck keep us posted.

Where is that located? If the sending unit it was bad wouldn't it cause a CEL? I dont get it, even the rep from corporate says i didn't come with the truck, which makes NO senses because why does a basic truck have it...

Im willing to try anything, SO FRUSTRATED!!

My truck has a 5.7 so it may be different than your truck but I will look and see if I can find it they are usually near the oil filter. There also may be more than one sensor for our trucks I am Not sure but if I was in your shoes this is where I would start looking I would check the wiring going to the sensors connections and then possibly replace the sensors and see if it helps if that does not help it it's got to be some type of the communication issue in your body control module or some other function of the truck but it is definitely very peculiar.

So i got off the phone with Chrysler corporate, and the guy said, when enterprise ordered your truck they omitted those features. So its missing the sales codes for those gauges. So i said well can i add the sales code to the truck and have it work. He was telling me a sales code is not a program code, and nothing can be done with this code.

Then i was like well when i added my mirrors and my foglights, i needed a sales code to program them.

He went on to tell me, that they can program them but its not a factory option.

According to my dealer, once they were flashed with the sales code, the options are now added to my build sheet.

I asked the guy, look into this and get those sales codes for me.

He is trying to tell me that sales codes cant just be added to the truck, it only comes from the factory.

Is this correct, or if i get these codes, i can then go to the dealer and add these codes to flash the truck and get the correct information? I asked him if it was a wiring thing, and he said no, its a computer thing

That makes absolutely no sense for Enterprise or any fleet buyer to de-content something like that. If anything, that adds cost to pull something that is standard in almost every RAM with a premium cluster.

The consensus i seems to be that sales codes can be added if you find
1) a willing dealer/service Dept and
2) a competent dealer/service Dept that can actually do it.

I have a down load link posted around here somewhere for the 2013+ sales codes that may help you ...

One thing I forgot to ask PCT. Did you check the connection that goes to the back of the speedometer to see if there was possibly some connectors that were missing or damaged? The oil temp and pressure is available on any cluster and any trim level 13 and up even though we acces them in diffetent ways on the EVIC. I just don't see how or why a rental fleet would or could have that feature removed. I think your problem is somewhere else with either a faulty switch or wire or possibly some type of a communication issue within your system. Just my two cents I could be way off but I have been told things by my dealer and Chrysler support that were completely inaccurate in the past.

So after waiting a week, they called me back and told me, there is nothing i can do, this truck was ordered via-fleet vehicle line from dealer, i guess its called something like a 203g package... It just doesnt come from the factory like that. He said your truck has some unusual things about it, most 13's sold only came with 3.21 or 3.92 gears, and mine has 3.55.

I personally dont believe him much, but what do yall think?!

Do you have a build sheet and if so what does it say? That would be gospel in my opinion for warranty work and/or diagnosis of your issue.

I know there is a couple of threads that have a email to contact Chrysler and get your build sheet. Usually they email back within a couple of hours. I'll see if I can find it.

Unless I am mistaken, the OP's last response he received was from Chrysler (FCA) corporate.

Unless he has money to burn to litigate it, he is at a dead end and the truck is what it is.

It sounds like it, but at least getting a build sheet he'll know exactly what his truck has
