500 watt power inverter installed under the hood. Could have gone bigger but this was an emergency purchase to run a fog machine and some accessory lighting today for a last-minute photo shoot with no access to electricity.

Drilled four mounting holes in the plastic fuse box cover just in front of the battery and used the screws that came with the inverter to mount it to the cover. The inverter came with positive and negative leads that had alligator clips for the battery ends. I wanted a cleaner, more permanent install so I cut off the clips and installed the leads with ring connectors directly to the battery terminals, instead.

Already tested with my 400 watt fog machine and a few other things - power load is right where it needs to be and it looks like this will fulfill my needs for the time being. If I need to upgrade in the future, I will.

Edited to add: Unit was $34.99 on Amazon.

I can't find a link on the Costco website, but 3 days ago I picked up 6 LED puck lights with a remote controller including Duracell batteries for $18.99.

I installed 3 of them under the lip of my box to light up the area at night to see what I have under there. I used velcro tape... they are not water proof, but thought my toneau cover would give them enough rain protection.

Nice inverter. But it really bothers me you didn't shrink the insulation on the yellow terminal.

You also need to put an inline fuse in the circuit unless it has over current protection built in.

Sprayed the entire underside of the truck with Fluid Film.
Great stuff, protects metal and keeps the rust off. Perfect for people living in the snow belt.
I reapply every fall and keeps the truck looking new underneath.

I got one similar at Home Ripoff.(depot). I actual bought it for my cargo trailer conversion. But I was having an issue with my tool box breaking its straps and sliding around, so it got repurposed to the intended purpose!

Got this off of Amazon, 35 bucks! It does rattle a bit but the kids can climb in the back now without me worrying about them falling and breaking a leg. I'm probably about to add some rubber boots to the bottom of it so it won't rattle as bad against the tailgate while driving. Still a great find.
