Happy New Year guys. Just curious if the mevotech's have to be greased or not?! And if so how did you guys do it.
Yes they do. They have a hole for a 1/4-28 grease fitting right on the top. I have a cheap Amazon grease gun with a flexible hose that does the trick easily with the wheels on. I usually check mine every 2k miles. No issues with mine so far about 9k miles on em with my bils @2.8"

Is everyone opting for the "Daily Driver" (cms251057/58) level uca vs the "economy" (gs2510157/58) as listed on the Rock Auto site?

Just something interesting I found while inspecting the brake pads on my 2016 this weekend. The upper front ball joints were welded in by the factory.....

Bought truck new from the dealership. I’ll get a picture when I put my new 5100s and Mevotechs in this Saturday.

Pictures of the welded ucas ...requested here .

If they are tack welding them now , that's basically admitting the ucas from 2013 are too weak for the design ....which has been verified by many here and thousands abroad ....

Hopefully the welded ones will suffice...!??

Makes you wonder if the parts vendor had a bad batch of UCA's where the bj socket was a touch oversize and instead of scrapping the lot they just welded in the ball joints??? Those are some serious goose **** welds though, I'm no welder and I can lay a better bead than that. That top one would make me nervous the way they melted away most of the outer rim.

That’s an amateur weld at best. If I were you I would have the dealer replace that crap or you upgrade them and replace it yourself.

They are welded in on uppers so I decided to just replace the upper arms and not mess with them. The lowers have a weld type plug as well but can be pressed out and replaced with Moog if you desire. That is what I did.

That weld looks hideous.
