Thanks, I will have to check it. I did setup the Traffic and it works but I did not see the Travel Link..
So it shows current traffic on the screen like this with the green lines showing normal traffic flow flow yellow showing slow traffic and red heavy heavy traffic? You can set up all your traffic preferences but it doesn't mean it is subscribed. I have not seen any that worked unless the truck originally had a Nav radio so the code was set or it was enabled with the the alfa tool. If you go to your Aps screen and you do not have a Travelink icon on your radio you do not have it.d3ee03fbb8f53e257ec8683a596d7dc9.jpgd32ee7ce00d5dec39cee60e52232f039.jpg

Remember if you end up enabling the code with tool it can take up to 24hrs for it to appear on the radio. UAS and UAQ radios take a long time to read the BCM in many cases.

Where and how do you set up the traffic? I have a 2018 UAQ in my 2017. My Travellink has been enabled for awhile via Alpha OBD just haven't seen anything about traffic.

I just went into the NAV settings and then went to the traffic menu and did the little set up which made me select my area. And then from the main radio screen there's a traffic and weather button I click that and there's the traffic and weather2e1db5258447e6596091d023fe77baa4.jpg183ac0ec096415c13286286f880a1263.jpg

Just enabled it, we'll see how long it takes to show up.

Anyone know?

Given how the locking tabs work and how difficult the upper ones are to get at even with the tray removed, I don't believe so, not without breaking something. I had to use an angled trim tool to get up in there and compress them to remove one.

Thanks, guess I'll wait until my new tray comes in and then tear it all down.

Good evening everyone. I just spent the last 2 days reading all 110 pages. I would love to start piecing together a UAS package for my 17 Ram Express Crew. I had a rental for the last week and i was amazed by how well the car play worked over regular GPS. Parts needed from switching a 5" uconnect screen with a 7 speed fan would be:

-UAS from a RAM/Jeep (will a Charger's work? there's one around super cheap, like $200 CAD)
-single zone 8.4" bezel
-hvac module
-media hub
-media hub conversion harness
-??

Do i even need the hvac if i'm good with the standard controls?

Are you looking for a Canadian it USA UAQ radio? I recommend you stick with a 2018 Ram UAx radio PN to minimize issues. (Radio mounts are the same on Jeep, ram viper).

See this post 7 & 8 from my FW info thread ...
https://www.ramforum.com/index.php?posts/1125843.
- 68331632Ax appears to be a Canadian RAM UAQ 4c NAV w/SXM (no cellular ant.)

2018 RAM USA PNs: 68331631AH (UAQ)
or 68331635AH (UAS)

Also note, if your have problems with HVAC Temp sliders/blend door travel and the 2018 HVAC module doesn't correct it then you will need the Single zone ATC feature/wiring added.

M² Mods.

Yes you can install the radio without doing the full conversion. You will obviously not have the Browse/Select button,Volume knob, screen off and back button. You will also not be able to control your HVAC from the screen but the 3 knob system will still work. That being said that's the way we all ran them back in the day before GetupKid and others figured out the harness. You can actually use your stock 5.0 bezel with a little trimming on the back. You will also need to install the audio controls on the back of your steering wheel or just find a leather wheel that already has them. The Charger radio will not work.

If I went with the upgraded bezel do I need HVAC module? Or can I use it for manual controls and volume/select? And to make the buttons work I need an adapter?

Yes you would need the HVAC module. The 3 knob system actually has the HVAC module integrated into the bezel itself. The 8.4 system uses a remote HVAC module.
