I have a set of studded Duratracs on my 07 Megacab 3500. They are a good tire in deep snow and hard pack.
I have a set of KO2 on my 12 qcsb 1500 they are good on the hard pack but not as good in the deep snow.
IMO the KO2 drive a little better and are for sure more quite.
On another note, I just talked with a business customer I have. Long story short he bought a Jeep with 21,000 mi used from a lot. About 2 month ago at 54,000 mi. the motor blew. I do not know what motor or cause of failure. He has always had a private chain change his oil and has records.
He...
The truck always started perfect, ran perfect never a stumble, cel or anything but perfect. The motor never leaked or burnt a drop of oil. Parked inside 99% of the time and never seen a drop of oil on concrete. Never even saw slight dust collecting around anything on motor when changing oil.
I agree with you. There has to be another issue or issues that caused this. IMO I would have to take motor to mechanic to try and diagnose issue. If we could find issue then hire a lawyer and fight it out. What would that take a year or two? I feel I am better off just spending the money to fix...
You know I never really thought about this being I have never had trouble before. This is my "grocery getter" so to speak. I would guess alot of the time it only goes 5 to 10 miles per trip. However, I would imagine it goes over 25 mi at least every 2 weeks.
Here is a big **** YOU to everyone that thinks I am hiding something or not telling the whole story.
I am plenty pissed and almost had the cops called on me at the dealer.
So again **** YOU!
I contacted a person that I kind off know from another Chrysler dealer close by. They did some inside digging for me both through Chrysler and contacts they have at the dealer my truck is at.
Bottom line is they confirmed that I will not get any warranty help.
Yes it is clogged not allowing oil to be pumped or at least not enough oil. The screen and tube both have sludge issues.
Motor showed no indication of trouble until all hell broke lose. BTW when changing the oil I never saw any indication of trouble.
I am not trying to worry anybody. I have stated facts from my experience as best I can.
I have seen the threads about different oil and the such that guys are using. In my mind better oil than the dealer uses. If you want to be covered under warranty for anything that might happen to your...
I would talk to Don Thuren. I would bet they have been working on this model. They don`t have everything on their website so I would send them an email. They have got back to me in a very timely manner.
For the record guys I own a small excavation company with about a dozen engines in service. My Kenworth has 475 hp and about 1,400 ft/lbs of torque with weight as much as 80,000 lbs.
I have not had an engine problem in any of them and most are way older than this Ram.
