thats not true for the bilstein 5100 setup
the reason being that the actual cause of ball joint issues on the truck is a-arm overextension (further than what it can go in stock form)
when you add a spacer to your stock shocks you have effectively extended the total extended legth of the shock...

or if theres any sort of weight sagging the rear down...you can put air into the bags. lighter loads will do 10psi in the bags and some loads require 30-40psi
