5.2 to 5.9 engine swap?
On the 2w drive all you have to change is the torque converter I believe, should be the same for the 4x4.- chishola1

1995 dodge ram 1500 will not turn over
I would check for a problem with your ground. My 98 has a weak ground and sometimes when I go to start her as soon as I turn the key everything just shuts off and I have to get out and shake the battery cables. Good luck- chishola1

Kernel portable lift
The problem I see with portable lifts is that they are all 4 post lifts. That means if you have to pull a tire for what you are doing you still need a jack. In my opinion you are better off getting a 2 post floor plate style so you can take full advantage of having a lift even if you don't have... -

What is a good ODB2/CAN Scan tool
I use a obd2 usb cable there are plenty of software options to do what you need. Even if you need cables that are make/model specific it is still cheaper to do it that way.
