So, if there are no leaks, rad cap is good, has new fluid, thermostat checks out and fan is working right, pretty much leaves the water pump or a plugged rad as the last suspects.- Dean2

In addition to the solid advice above, check your rad cap, it may not be holding the 14 psi it needs to. That will cause all kinds of issues and is often overlooked. I buy Mopar coolant and nothing but. Too many issues with the aftermarket equivalent stuff and you don't save much compared to...- Dean2

I disagree. I have run my 2500 at 8200 pounds and 9500 pounds and the gas mileage is virtually the same. If I increase wind drag, or push into a head wwind, gas mileage goes down and the more resistance the more it drops. However, weight in the box or in the cab seems to have very little effect...- Dean2

Best recommendation is adding easily removed weight, sand bags, tied down water tank etc and air down the tires to 45 front 40 rear. That way it is easy to go back to max tow capacity in a couple of minutes. Anything else you try will mess with your tow capacity, so would make sense to go to a...- Dean2

PCV Valve Woes
Just found this thread. Taking the manifold off was definitely the right call. I would VERY carefully start removing the old PCV valve from the centre out, that way I could re-use the factory manifold. If you proceed carefully it should work out fine.
