    Towing Help! 2023 Ram 1500 5.7L V8 eTorque, 4x4, Crew Cab, short bed, 3.21

Good luck purchasing your first Rv. There are many great channels on youtube that deal with this subject. One is KYD, and Big Truck Big Trailer. I definitely agree with the other post about buying a gently used TT to start with. Do your reviews on them. Grand Design is a really good make and...

Convenience controls went crazy after update from uconnect.

My 2018 Ram stated that it required an update so I did. After the update my phone started calling my contacts at random to and the radio station would scan all by itself and wouldn’t stay on my station. All this started after the update. I unhooked the battery for about 30 minutes and...

Towing with a v6 Pentastar and 3.21 differential

I owned with a 2015 ram 1500 crewcab with a 3.6 v6 and used it to tow a tow hauler around 6500 lbs before I had knowledge of payload and towing capacity. We bought the truck new before we owned an Rv so we just used it. It actually did really good even though it was overloaded. Two trips 1k...

    Lemon law numbers

I see a lot of complaints on here some I wonder about. I worked for a GM dealership in the 80's and early 90's and saw a lot of people complain about the vehicle's nature of the beast a lot of it was not really a problem. I did see some common problems through the car lines but it sure didn't...

My wife drives it to work and gets 20-21 mpg plus I have towed our 25’ to over 8k miles with it an it is awesome love the 8 speed trans. 2015 Pentastar V6 Towing [SUPERCHARGER SUCCESS!]

I started out with a 2015 crewcab 3.6 321 gearsand towed a 7k lb tow hauler. And yes it was to much Load. As far as pulling the load even up the mountains in East Tennessee it did fine actually towed probably 3k miles before I traded for a v8 . The payload was the real problem.

    Towing fuel economy sucks

I have a 2018 Big Horn crewcab with 5.7 and 392 gear 2wd pulling 25’tt 5000lb empty weight. 55-60 anywhere 10-12 mpg above that and it is around 8 average. Did a 2700 mile trip in May and overall was 8. I thought it was bad until I talked to a guy pulling almost the same size to with a Ford eco...

    Fuel mileage v6 vs hemi

i just traded in my 2015 RAM 1500 crewcab v6 with 30,000 miles for a 2018 bighorn hemi with a 392 gear v6 had a 321. The v6 averaged around 22 mph to work and back while the hemi is angering a little over 20. Not much difference at all especially when the 18 has a 10,250 lb towing capicity...

    After Market Brake Controler

Has anyone installed an aftermarket brake controller on a 2018 1500? Just wondering because I know that the factory controllers have to be programed in order to work. I had an aftermarket on my 2015 and it worked great.

Who has towed this much for these distances

If you check the tow capacity for the Titan is just around 10k lb the same as Ram 1500 with 392 gear ratio. The 2500 with the diesel is 17,250 with the auto trans. Also the Auto is rated at 800 ft lbs of torque at 1500 rpm. The reason I know this is that I have been researching towing options...

    Improving towing with v6, 8sp, 3.21 (2014)

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab V6 8 Speed auto and I previously owned a 25 ft towhauler that loaded weighed around 7600 lbs pulled it on two long trips and had no issues at all. I do have an aftermarket brake controller and weight distribution hitch and sway control bar. I towed around 60-65...

    V6 or hemi

I have a 2015 1500 crew cab v6 and average about 20-21 mpg to work and back. Also pull a 25' travel trailer and get 10 mpg pulling it and it really does not strain the truck. Very pleased with the v6.
