Speedometer/Instrument Panel Issues

My '99 318 is closing in on 290,000 but it's hurting bad... Developed a(n oil) drinking problem sometime in late 2019, early 2020... drains the pan in about 1,600 miles. Valve stem seals was going to be my suggestion as well. Had a similar issue with stalling on startup and smoke from the exhaust. Odd starting issues
I had a similar issue to the one you described. For the, it was the IAC at the back of the throttle body. Easy enough to take out and clean really well and if that doesn't fix it, try a new one. That is great information! So our brake system in the second gen Rams is a Kelsey-Hayes system? Certainly did not know that! Also shows a few diagnostic tips and tricks to getting codes too. Looks like there are a few things to try that should get me to a solution! I appreciate the info!- dodge862

That is very true. I think I might try finding someone to switch modules with me and see if the problem says with me or stays with the module. I've looked at modules before a while back and I think as I remember, they were pricey lol! Even if it shows to be the module I'm not sure it's worth...- dodge862
