I just paid $1300 this week for this exact fix. I’ve been putting it off and wanted to get it fixed before towing my camper now that it’s spring and I know I won’t have time to drop the 32 gallon tank or remove the bed to get to the fuel pump.
So yes, $1300-$1500 isn’t out of the question...
Question: will any of these options update the analog speedometer as well as the digital EVIC readout? My truck has a consistent variance between the two and at an actual (GPS) speed of 75, my digital EVIC will read 75 but the analog gauge reads close to 70. I was told this is due to having the...
My 2014 Durango with the 3.6 had to have lifters and cams replaced at 101k miles. Outside of warranty, out of pocket. Was not happy about that.
At 125k, the radiator began leaking. Bad design, prone to fail due to the inlet and outlet both being made of plastic.
At 150k, the oil cooler...
2014 Longhorn CC w/ 3.92s. Mixed driving around 15-16. Purely freeway, 20-21 if I keep cruise around 73mph. Any more, mpg drops. 75-80 mph is more like 18-19mpg.
Towing a 4,500 lb 23' camper nets around 10 mpg on mostly highway driving up and down the mountains of Utah.
My 2014 Longhorn analog speedo reads nearly 5 mph off at 70mph compared to the digital speedometer. After doing a ton of research, it seems like this is a common issue with trucks imported from Canada (like mine) as there is a common speedo discrepancy for some reason. I'm not about to replace...
I installed the z36 package front and rear on my 2014 Longhorn 4 months ago and absolutely love it- no regrets. I regularly tow a 5k camper up and down the mountains of Utah (and just pulled it out here to San Diego yesterday) and these brakes give so much more confidence than the stock rotors...
I understand and generally agree with what you're saying. I'm happy to post a picture of my inch lbs torque wrench if that will satisfy you that it wasn't user error.
If you can, without getting a visual OR physical on the cheapass replacement bolts that came with the kit, confirm beyond any...
You can if the replacement bolt threads aren’t machined finely enough to match the threads in the trans. 89 inch lbs- just a touch over snug. 89 ft lbs into the aluminum trans case would have broken more than a bolt.
A few of the replacement bolts went in very snug from the beginning due...
Finally made the time to do a pan/filter replacement with the Dorman unit and a drain/fill with Mopar branded ZF Lifeguard fluid. Kind of a PITA with needing to jack the rear end up about 10" above the front (had a build some platforms to raise my jackstands higher with 2x4s :D ) but fairly...
Interesting. I've been active on the Durango forums on DodgeDurango.net for the last 3 years and I haven't seen substantial reports of head gasket issues in the 2014s and up. I *have* seen a fair number of lifter/follower and cam issues for 2014 and up, which I have had myself and had the dealer...
