Violent drivers side rear end bounce.

The Melted rubber was on the very edge of the rim, on the brim, right before the physical tire. I have an odd feeling that it is the parking brake though... need to adjust it tomorrow and see if that helps. The bushings are in good shape, the truck is low mileage and hasn't towed and been loaded...

Truck over heated badly. Now what?

This is where your shop needs to at the VERY LEAST find a you a engine for your truck. Or a complete rebuild. Unless you don't know what caused your head-gasket to go the first time. Either way, if its been badly overheated twice, i wouldn't trust it.

Violent drivers side rear end bounce.

Stock Wheels, Stock tire size, stock height. stock stock stock. Just heard a random tidbit from a friend with an f150, something about having an overly tightened parking brake or parking brake pad separating and causing a shaking/bounce. Does anybody fathom how that would cause a bounce? I am...

Violent drivers side rear end bounce.

Ive checked for play in the wheels and axles, and their is none. What should I do to check my leaf bushings and shackle bushings? or is it just a visual check?

Violent drivers side rear end bounce.

My truck is driving me insane. Under 50 kph its wonderful, between 60-70 kph and randomly over 80kph one side of the back of the truck starts bouncing, to the point where i pulled over because i thought it was going to bounce off. It seems to be worse on downhills especially. Its just bizarre...

Vibration on the highway has me stumped

There is no movement in the wheel bearing, I checked that. My thought is that I damaged the leaf spring hangars, leaf springs or u-bolts. My bottom leaf is starting to walk out a bit, and it wasn't that way before. Also, I worry about a bent axle too, but wouldn't that only become more and more...

Vibration on the highway has me stumped

Also, It gets much less pronounced with weight in the vehicle, but is still noticeable. I can see the one side of the back in my truck hopping in the rear view mirror.

Vibration on the highway has me stumped

On acceleration, deceleration and constant. Only usually when doing between 60-100 kph. Otherwise I don't feel it. I have new rancho RS 5000's on the the back. Might try a new shock, and maybe new leaf spring bushings?

Vibration on the highway has me stumped

Hi there, My new to me Ram 1500 4x4 has developed an issue. Long story short, i bought the truck with bad ball joints, the bad balljoints trashed one of the tires (out of round) and caused a vibration/hop on the front end. (Got a whole new moog front end put in) To make sure it was a bad tire...

Emergency Brake not working. Any ideas of what could be the problem?

Had a similar problem with my 3rd Gen 1500, brake actuated, spring compressed, but the lever attached to the spring didn't actually move. Try pulling the rear brake assembly and check that the parking brake assembly hasn't frozen. Good luck!

    03 Ram 1500 Hemi Coolant leak mid-truck

Thank you for the insight! Pretty mechanically inclined but i think i'll have to save this job till the summer rolls around. The truck seems to be a perfect example of "if its too good to be true, it probably is", but the truck is sticking around, especially because it only has 85k miles on it. lol
