    Great, mine is at the dealer now for the same exact thing. I'm sure I'll get the same response. I can get it to whine on and off with the pedal. We'll see if they can replicate the problem.

    Stick with half a yard. This was a full yard+ in a 2500. It squatted about 2-3 inches.

    Yes, you should use the new hardware that includes the steel backing plate. I thought the entire install was pretty easy. The riv-nuts were not hard at all and only took about 15 minutes to do all 8. As I recall, I counted the number of turns and also checked them with a torque wrench.

    No need to worry. It's normal for your truck. I just got 9.8 MPG on my last tank.
