The heads are about 4 years old and the entire engine was rebuilt. I'd prefer not to go through all of that again. I will do the compression test this weekend and see what turns from that.
Sounds like a weekend project :)
I have never done a compression test, but a little bit of googling I found a guide. I will give it the old college try this weekend and see what I come up with thanks.
First off thanks for reading and hopefully you all can give me an idea of where to look/check.
I noticed a rough idle and in low RPMs a stutter/slight jerking and the check engine light came on. I took it in to the local auto part store they said Cylinder 4 Misfire. I replaced all 8 Spark...
Replaced the Cylinder 4 Fuel Injector and problem solved :) thanks for the help. If anyone needs help with removing the injectors let me know I am now a pro at it HA HA!
Also I got ahold of 2004 service manual if anyone needs I can PM you it.
Yea more I've read I'm thinking it's the injector my mpg has been pretty damned bad as of late too. Going to pick one up do the tests and if it is just replace it if not then return it and keep troubleshooting lol.

I started getting a rough idle about a month ago and check engine light came on a few days after. I went to auto part store had them check and I replaced my spark plugs. The check engine light went away after I replaced the spark plugs. I still had the rough idle...

I noticed last Monday that my truck would give a slight jerking motion when i would start to accelerate from a dead stop or when slowing down anything below about 8 mph during me coming to a full stop. I also have a rough idle that comes and goes. Here's a list of...
Been working on the truck since 8 this morning just fixing up things and dead tired now :D
Repaired power steering leak
Cleaned throttle body
Cleaned entire engine with some degreaser stuff I bought made it look nice.
Rotated tires
Now I have a list of mostly exterior mods I want to do and I...
Any type of upholstery cleaner that y'all recommend? Mostly need to get some rust spots out of the carpet that I have noticed under the driver/passenger seats.
Replaced radiator, put new spark plugs in and changed oil. This morning still have a small list of things to do before it starts raining all weekend.

Gotcha buddy used it on his rims so was curious how it would last on trim.
Gotcha actually makes sense with the throttle body. The IAC is located just to the right on the drivers side?
The evap cleaner I assume you are hooking it to the compressor lines?

Thank you. I just looked it up. It's a bit pricey so I will add it to my "do later" list lol! I need to finish fixing the minor issues then i will definitely buy that thing ;) . Also I like the black trim on my truck it is fading. Have you ever used Plasti Dip on trim if so how did it turn out?
