Sounds like a good candidate for excessive a/c voltage from failing diodes. Moving the harness does not fix the issue. I have had a brake switch cause it as well but that is normally while cruising.
Your front axle is 100% not from a 1993 truck. On the rear it looks like it has drum backing plates but I cannot tell for sure. If it is drums that axle is not from a 03.
@DodgeTx I use the twist lock bases from grand prixs and sylvania leds. I've tried cheap ebay leds and they do not last.
Annnnndddd I get to do a head gasket. YAYYYYYY.
Just trying to ease the feeling that is a super complicated job. A 10mm socket, 3/4 or 19mm wrench, 8mm wrench or socket, and a flat blade screw driver should be all you need tool wise. I understand the age thing. Take a Saturday afternoon and tinker. :happy160:
Make sure they do not run it before you get there. So you can cold start it. Most issues with these trucks happen on cold start up. Very rarely do I see issues after they are running. If it does not have an aftermarket lift pump knock 1k off the price right away.
Yes easily done in a driveway.
200k on my 24v and swapped injectors around multiple times with no leaks etc. 4 sets of injectors with the same set of tubes. Progression through sizes was the only reason I was changing injectors. I am very familiar with these trucks. :driver...
There are much better quality injectors at a lower price point than DDP. The connector tubes absolutely do not need to be replaced when swapping injectors either.
3 or 4. Takes me about an hour to do them. 2 to 3 hours for a first timer. Make sure to get new connector tube orings as well. I pull the lines off the pump as it is easier than trying to fight them and the connector tubes. The lines come off in two 3 piece sets.
Spent all weekend getting a built auto together for my 12v. triple disc, billet input & output, billet direct drum some other stuff. Oh so nice to hit the pedal and it actually move like it's supposed to.
