    You can take apart your fusebox and clean it. If the corrosion is bad enough, you may have to solder a jumper wire into complete the circuit.

    Yeah you don't have to drill them, but you can... I took a flathead screwdriver and put pressure on the head of the weld and twisted several times, it broke it free.

    On the bottom of the fusebox there are three clips that hold the fusebox together so to speak. Take a electric drill if you have one with a bit the size of the clips and drill them out a bit.     Truck is running. Pdc being all gummed up with corrosion caused pin 29 on pcm connector 1 to have no power. Stole some power from another hot wire, all problems gone... Gearshift indicator came back, gauges back, starts and runs fine.

    Your brake rotors are probably to blame. My experience with this is if it shakes in the steering wheel and the pedal pulsates, it is normally the front rotors. If you can feel serious vibration through your seat, the rears are shot. As far as grease by the u joint, are you saying your boot is torn?

    I just went thru hell diagnosing electrical problems with my truck. Took the fusebox apart to find massive corrosion. New it is 600 dollars, so I did some improvising.

    The front headlamps are controlled by the front control module if i am not mistaken. This is the part that is bolted to the side of the fusebox under the hood.

    The link wasn't working for me. Glad to hear you got yours running, I have same problem at pdc with corrosion. My friend is going to solder the circuit board(jumper wire) I hope that fixes it. Pin 29 at pdc is dead for me too.

    So do you now have a box around your gear selector? So you essentially powered up a new fused wire with 12v from the battery? ? Do you have any pictures?     Any update? I have the same problems as you, to a "T" Corrosion on the PDC and everything. I took it apart cleaned as best I can and it think it's going to need a new fuse box.
