LSD installed. If you don't have it you're crazy.

These trucks should come with LSD diff STANDARD. It should be an option to delete LSD for the rare individual that wanted an open diff.

    Fuel milage

My hemi figure above from Fuelly was 2014 year only as I wanted to ensure only 8 speed trans. That was grabbed a couple months back.

    Fuel milage

These threads don't provide useful resource, at least statistically significant, insights into gas milage. There are just not enough responses and hard to control for difference. One major one is EVIC vs hand calc. Honestly your most informative resource is Fuelly.com where you can see...

    White sport grille wanted

Looking for a late model (must fit 2014) Ram sport grille, in white, with inserts that have thin horizontal lines. Like in this picture. I have the Laramie Limited grille and may consider trading.

Probably the baddest set of lights I've done......yet

I have the white Eco diesel limited, with air ride. Simply awesome. And love the simple white lights above. Can you PM me the price. Besides white trim I just want HID low beams for the protector and plug and play wiring.

    Eco Diesel

The motor has been around for years. It is now used in grand Cherokee, for three model years, Ram, Masterati in Europe, it is also used in boat and military applications around the world. You can imagine thr testing that Governments do to qualify for military use. I don't have all the...

    Eco Diesel

Can see a lot here if search, but also on the Ram 1500 Diesel forum. If you are leaning Eco diesel, you won't regret the purchase. Other great options as well.

    V-6 Eco Diesel

Agree, I will assemble the data here when I get a chance. Was trying to provide what I had at my fingertips. In doing this I would lose other people who responded but will do best I can

Dealers can tell truck is tuned after revert to stock?

Yes many things can be traced if they look close enough. For large problems, they will pull out the detectives. My time is way too valuable to think I would waste my time suing to cover a claim, after modifying. The OEMs are watching for abusive type modding very closely to help protect normal...

    V-6 Eco Diesel

My breakeven analysis link above was deleted because it points to another forum. Search "diesel breakeven analysis". It has too many details including a spreadsheet pic to repost here.

    V-6 Eco Diesel

Here is another view. To actually use all the HP in a gas engine, and have fun with it, you need to rev it and will then get a huge hit in MPG (generalization). A diesel has less HP in total, but you can push it all the time to use most of its HP, then benefit from that kick in the pants torque...

    Eco Diesel oil changes

The Eco diesel oil change interval is 10,000 miles under normal conditions. The computer will recommend less if severe application but most seem to track to 10k. Thr Eco diesel oil change is more expensive for several reasons: ultra premium synthetic oil comes standard and is required, the oil...

    V-6 Eco Diesel

And to strengthen my analysis, you will see I compared residual values of diesel/gas combos for the big three brands in 3/4 ton. Even with those trucks, where the Diesel engine costs $8000 to $9000 more, they achieved breakeven in about 3 years because the used market just eats up good used...

    V-6 Eco Diesel

Like any detailed analysis, so great start above. Continue to build on that. I did a very extensive breakeven analysis. There is one MAJOR piece missing from the analysis above, and that is higher retained value, less depreciation, in other words better residuals. In fact, residuals alone can...

Cai/drop-in for use in dusty conditions

Honestly I would stay away from oil based reusable filter elements. They let significantly more dust flow than paper elements. Not just a little more. Much more. Even in normal conditions I stay away as I like my engine clean.
