    Around me Quick Trip is usually the cheapest and it's Top Tier. I do try to stay with Top Tier when I can. I don't sweat the occasional non Top Tier fill up on the road. The only real difference is the detergent additive package.

    Don't get the E, they cheapened the PF48 when they replaced it with the PF48E. If you really want a GM part, get the PF48R, it's constructed much better, will withstand higher pressures. I use the PF 48R on my dry sump LS3.

    This thing is supposed to be self sufficient for long distances overland so the eco diesel makes perfect sense. Big HP is almost never useful in rough terrain but long range is very useful.
