Got 224 HP/571 TQ. I need a better lift pump. Power drops off like a lead balloon at 2500 RPM.

Funny that you mention the coffee can....yes I do carry a 3 lb coffee can in my truck now ROFL! I'll carry it until I get the flapper made for it :)

I appreciate the kudos Mike :). I saw ya coming from the other direction, and figured why not drop the hammer a bit. Was in 5th gear, just goosed it a couple times. A buddy of mine that lives in New Meadows got the same show lmao. Went to his house today, and he was truly impressed. I had to...

Well, here it is installed. I'll need to make a flapper for it to keep out the rain and snow :).

The elbow and pipe have been welded together, welds cleaned up, and painted in this pic.

I just finished welding up the flange to the elbow, and I had to add a piece of pipe to the leftover pipe I purchased from NAPA. If it weren't for the rust on the additional pipe, you would not be able to tell I welded another piece to the leftover pipe.

Flange is tacked to the elbow in this pic. I ran out of carbon dioxide for my MIG welder....otherwise I would have welded the flange all the way around. BTW, I'm at a perfect 90 degrees now. Tomorrow I'll run to McCall and pick up another 5 lbs of dry ice so I can finish all my welding on the...

    K's in Miles

639,420 on the clock, But I can't take the credit for all those miles. I think I'm the 3rd or 4th owner of the truck :).

A bit more machining done here...should have the flange finished and welded to the elbow by tomorrow night :)

Roger that Stang! I'm thinking about making my own also, hope to be able to start that project before the end of March. I would start it sooner, but IdahoTurboDiesels.com is sponsoring a dyno event on March 17th, and I've got to finish this stack, cut a more aggressive fuel pin, and a few other...

I'm not sure of the cost factor.....I don't worry about that too much, because I really enjoy making my own things(like my homemade fuel pin and existing exhaust system:)). Current thickness of the elbow tubing is now .082.

Learning how to weld is a big part of being self-sufficient. In other words, why pay someone to do something that you can do yourself? :)
