Really struggling with a P0300 Random Misfire.
2005 Dodge Ram 1500 QC SB 4x4 5.7L
Issue first arose last month while making a right hand turn noticed a buck in power. was able to rev it fine, and it seemed to go away. went to pull into a parking spot and truck died. Started it back up and...
Im not doubting it. I bought the truck from my father, who when i asked said he doesnt think he ever changed them. He bought the truck new in 05. And ive never changed them and ive owned it since 80k

I have an 05 1500 5.7, occassionally ill have a hard start. Truck will turn over for about 5-6 seconds then fire. Im thinking its a plug issue ( 118k on factory plugs). Eeeek! I cringe when i think about it. I should probably pull them and take a look!

I wouldnt say really cold place, i just dont like winter, and prefer not to deal with the temps..lol
I have replace the pads and rotors on both side, and as of now havent experienced my noise/feeling of concern.

The symptoms im experiencing only appear when brakes are applied, which is why I thought it would be brake related

Pads and rotors will be replaced tomorrow if i can find lug nuts, as i spent a good couple of hours tracking down lug nuts today (not easy to do on a sunday), since mine have swelled up :).

1500 "growling/grinding" from drivers side front wheel??
So over the last couple months ive had a grinding/ growling noise from the drivers front wheel. Only heard when near a hard stop when brakes are applied. I was thinking it could be a wheel bearing...but if it were a wheel...
May have figured it out. I read that the 4 pin connectors in the trailer hook up corrode, the looked pretty gross, so for the time being I cut it off and will splice a New one in shortly. Also found a blown fuse (that wasn't there before) for the brake controller. Replaced th fuse and...
As stated before I noticed a clicking from under the hood/dash. When I touched this cable under the dash I could feel the "click" in it. The cable runs from under the gauge panel through the connector pictured above and through the fire wall. Any ideas what this is. I'm going to take the knee...
So far this is very frustrating. I tried disconnecting the battery like before and nothing changed.
With truck off and depressing brake pedal no lights are illuminated. With truck running rear brake lights are illuminated with the exception of the third brake light.

Now with thw brake controller disconnected the brake lights don't work unless the truck is running. And the third brake light doesnt come on at all. I watched the bulb in the third brake light light up just a little bit then go off so ill let the rain die off and check the bulb.

Update**
Bought an oem brake light switch though work for cost, but I haven't installed it yet.
However, I read the above post and started pulling relays. Nothing turned the brake lights off excpect #1 labeled "electric brake". I swapped it with the same #30 pink fuse from the ac blower spot...
