Ram Newbie towing question
So I can pull 6000 lbs OK? Funny thing, I am driving a 2WD Ram rental now and I hooked up to the boat, the trailer wheel was in a hole so all the truck did was spin in the grass. I hooked up our old 1989 350 4WD Suburban with 250,000 miles and it pulled it right out. Gotta have 4WD.- SC-Ram

I am looking to purchase a 2015 Longhorn, 5.7, 4WD, 8 speed, 3.21 rear end. The description on the dealer website shows "Towing w/Harness and Trailer Sway Control" I see that it is rated to tow 7790 lbs. 5.7 Oil Consumption?
So the cylinder de-activation does not cause them to burn oil. That is good to know. the GM's 2007-2012 5.3 use oil like crazy! Just google 5.3 oil consumption and see all the complaints. I am looking to get a 2015 Longhorn with the 5.7 with 8 speed tranny and a 3.21 rear end. Any opinions on...- SC-Ram

Hi guys I am new to the forum. I am looking at a 2015 1500 Longhorn with the 5.7. I had a 2008 Chevy with the 5.3 and it used oil like it was made by the Saudis. I know a LOT of the Chevys have this problem doe to the cylinder deactivation. My question is about the Rams. Do they have problems...- SC-Ram
