hub/bearing replacement help!
Hey yall, I ordered a pair of Timken Hub assemblies for the front of my 07 Ram 1500. Everything came off no problem.. except the half shafts. Snap-on 18v 1/2" cordless impact wrench
Yeah these impacts are nuts! I put my lugs on with my air impact as tight as possible and this same gun zipped them right off with little effort. Very impressive tool! I already have one or I'd be all over this! GLWS- Tripp12345

2" drop shackles show no drop?!?
Well I was giong to remove the OL spring.. but that darn bolt going through the center of the leaf into the axle housing snapped the nut off when trying to remove it, on the drivers side anyway. Well I sort of jumped the gun. Once I drove it around for about 20 minutes, I came back home, re-measured and seen about a 1" drop. Still not the 2" they claim...- Tripp12345

I just received my McGaugheys 2" drop shackles for my 07 ram. My height before installing them from the outside fender edge to the ground was 39.5".. after installing the drivers side shackle, I checked again and saw the same measurement. SO someone on a forum said you have to actually flip them...- Tripp12345

Hubs going bad?
Hey guys.. and gals. Lately when I'm turning and any speed, I feel/hear a noise from what I would imagine is coming from the wheel hubs. Be thankful you don't have an 07 like me.. not a screw in sight! For the 04, You start with the two that screw into the dash above the cluster, then work your way from there. It's not the simplest process, but far from the hardest. Like I said before, it'll be 2+ hours to do it all. Like...- Tripp12345

Yeah, those actually are the totals for the 04, I did one a few months ago, they also wanted the trip/odometer done and some other things too. Fun job (yeah right). But yes, 11 for just the cluster, and 3 for the climate control. I'm pretty sure they're the same through 08. I'll be finding out...- Tripp12345
